The Providence campus has three computer centers that are run by the J&W Information Technology Department. Staff members are available in these computer labs to help students and answer questions. To use the labs students need a valid J&W ID and will need to bring their own disks if files are to be saved.
The Academic Center labs house 135 networked and Internet-ready computers. There is software for drafting, programming, and electronic engineering.
The Harborside labs have 128 networked and Internet-ready computers. Software includes a powerful statistical package, as well as nutrition and menu planning templates.
The Xavier labs have 110 networked and 68 non-networked computers, all Internet-ready, for general use and specialized use, such as for hotel property management and business administration.
Along with the J&W IT Department and its Helpdesk, that assists students and faculty with various computer needs and problems, Johnson & Wales has also formed a relationship with Team Computer in order to provide on-campus access to computer supplies and professional installation and troubleshooting assistance.
